Within Tyrone ladies football this week the division three final will top the fixtures as Galbally tackle Castlederg at the historic St Patrick’s Park in Omagh on Saturday (4pm) . Castlederg of course lost the county junior final to Coalisland after looking set to claim the title. The West Tyrone side shipped a late goal to miss out but Saturday’s game with the Pearses will afford them a real chance of redemption.

Galbally will have something to say about that. They finished level on points with the Derg and they beat their opponents at Pearse Park in the regular season although the beaten county finalists did end the Pearses championship hopes at Clogher.
The venue for the final is full of history. It was originally developed in the early 1900s  and hosted Tyrone championship, West Tyrone divisional finals, Ulster championship games and was of course home to St Enda’s , their forefathers, Colemans, Sarsfields and St Patricks and in later years Killyclogher St Mary’s and Drumragh Sarsfields. The grounds and dressing rooms were completely redeveloped in 2013 with the support of Club Omagh and the Drumragh Parish.
Killeeshil meanwhile claimed the grade one minor league title as they edged out Agyharan while Errigal Ciaran will open their Ulster minor club campaign at Emyvale on Saturday.
