The long journey to Aghyaran for Waterford ladies made little difference to their preparedness on Sunday for their Division One clash with Tyrone
In truth the visitors hit the ground running from the first ball and dominated throughout to lead 3-8 to 0-2 at the break with Tyrone’s two points coming from a Chloe Mc Caffrey free and a point from play by Elle Mc Namee.
Tyrone began the second half well but failed to capitalise on the possession and the chances they created. Maria Canavan, Niamh O’Neill, Meabh Mallon and Slaine Mc Carroll were amongTyrone’s second half scorers. Waterford maintained the pressure and added a further 3-7 to their tally in the second half.
