Derry 1-9 Tyrone 0-13

Gavin Potter proved to be the hero for Tyrone at Celtic Park with a fisted winner in the last attack of the game as the visitors edged out Derry to stay in control of their group.
Seconds earlier the hosts looked as though they had salvaged a draw when Johnny McGuckian bagged the only goal of the game but Tyrone weren’t to be outdone as they made it two wins and a draw from their opening three games.
Both sides missed chances in the first half and at the short whistle it was 0-5 apiece with Ryan McNicholl, Oisin Doherty, Potter and defensive duo Callum Daly and Joey Clarke among the points for their respective sides.
Ronan Cassidy had the opening two points of the second half but Doherty came up with a brace for Derry before Conleth McGrogan edged the home side 0-9 to 0-8 in front with a dozen minutes left to play.
Tyrone though then hit a purple patch with a fine equaliser from wing half back Shea O’Hare being followed by points from Ruairi McCullagh, Conor Owens and Noah Grimes. They looked to have done enough but in the third minute of injury time McGuckian found the net. To their credit though Tyrone came straight down the field for Potter to fist over the bar after he had exchanged passes with Eoin McElholm.
