Tyrone Celebrates All-Ireland Success

Tyrone handball enjoyed another memorable weekend on the national stage with two players returning home as All-Ireland champions and others booking their places in upcoming finals.

Loughmacrory’s Conor Duff captured the Over 35 All-Ireland title after an excellent performance against Paddy P. Goggins, producing a composed display to claim the coveted crown.

There was further cause for celebration as Aaron McElhone of Carrickmore secured the Minor All-Ireland title with victory over Jerry Goggins, adding another prestigious honour to Tyrone’s growing list of national successes.

In the Masters final, Shane O’Neill of Breacach battled bravely but had to settle for the runner-up spot after being defeated by David Hope. Despite the disappointment, reaching an All-Ireland final represents a significant achievement.

The county also has two more chances of All-Ireland glory after impressive semi-final victories from Loughmacrory duo Laura Duff and Clare Conway.

Duff booked her place in the Intermediate All-Ireland final with a hard-earned win over Emer Barron and will now face Noelle Dowling of Kilkenny for the title.

Meanwhile, Conway produced a convincing display to overcome April Mornan, earning her place in the Junior All-Ireland final where she will meet Alana Coggeran.
