Loughmacrory produced a high scoring display to see off the threat of Tattyreagh at the weekend. They led 3:08 – 0:01 half time before going on to win 6-17 to 1-3.

Drumragh senior ladies had a good win over Drumquin in the championship at Clanabogan Park on Saturday evening. Caoimhe McCarron led the scoring with 3-7, while Shannon Starrs, Evie Gallagher and Dana Coyle were also among the goalscorers. Beth Donaghy, Rhianna Barrett, Neamh Cleary and Aine McManus kicked some fantastic points throughout the game.
It was an impressive defensive performance from Drumragh as well, with Clare McGread, Julie-Ann Quinn and Grace McCusker all having excellent games.
Cookstown travelled to Ardboe on Saturday evening for the first round of the championship which turned out to be a low scoring game. Cookstown played against the wind in the first half and managed to score just the 4 points from Amy Sheehy and Aoibhinn Devlin. However Cookstown will be disappointed they were not ahead by more after a missed penalty and some wides. Ardboe finished the half with 4 points also and will also be regretful with the number of wides they hit.

Again, similar to the opening half, the second half was a low scoring affair, with Ardboe starting the second half stronger and went into a 2 point lead at one stage. However lack of discipline got to Ardboe in the closing stages and they ended up with 2 sin bins and Cookstown edged in front with a great effort from the boot of Amy Sheehy. Cookstown managed to keep that one point lead even with 12 minutes of injury time played.
