Errigal Ciarán continued their strong league form with a 6-12 to 3-6 win over Dungannon Thomas Clarkes at Cardinal MacRory Park on Thursday evening.

The hosts made a fast start, hitting two early points through Eimear McDonnell and Kelly McCaffrey. However, Dungannon struck twice in quick succession with goals in the 3rd and 4th minutes to lead 2-1 to 0-2.

Errigal responded well. Eimear Corrigan pointed before Shannon Cunningham levelled the game after converting a penalty rebound. Cailín McCann then finished clinically after a Dungannon turnover to restore control for the home side.

Further scores from Maria Canavan (two frees), Cunningham’s second goal, and another McCaffrey point helped Errigal build a strong lead before half-time, despite difficult wet conditions setting in.

Dungannon opened the second half with a goal, but Errigal quickly reasserted dominance. Elle McNamee and Shannon Cunningham (completing her hat-trick) both found the net, with Canavan and McNamee adding points as the lead stretched further. Bronagh McAleer also added a second-half goal to cap a strong attacking display.

Faye Loughran converted a late 45 for Dungannon, which was awarded flr 2 points Errigal closed out a 15-point win.
