Galbally have received a major boost ahead of Sunday’s Power NI Intermediate Football Championship Final after inspirational midfielder and captain Michael Murphy has been given the all clear to play. The Galbally man received a straight red card following a tackle in the closing stages of the semi- final win over Stewartstown. The Tyrone CCC had ruled that Murphy would serve a one match ban following referee Michael McCarron’s report. Murphy appealed the decision to the Tyrone Hearings committee on Saturday evening last and they upheld the earlier decision. Following a last gasp appeal to Ulster Council tonight (Thursday) the Ulster Hearings committee have cleared Murphy to play.
