Killeeshil St Marys 5-11

Fintona Perarses 0-6

Killeeshil produced a strong performance at Augher as they accounted for Fintona in what turned out to be a rather one sided quarter final. The St Mary’s had beaten the Pearses by a point in their previous meeting this year but by half time Killeeshil were ten points clear and heading for victory.

Grainne Rafferty’s opening goal in the first minute set the tone for the game and despite a couple of points in reply from Nicola Donnelly, St Mary’s had opened the gap to six points by the end of the first quarter.

Killeeshill hit a handful of wides with Bronagh Mc Kenna , Rafferty and Lisa Marie Skeffington all looking sharp .The impressive Chloe Collins and Rafferty added points with a second goal from Roisin Mc Erlean edging Killeeshill further ahead. A third goal from Alannah Donnelly killed the tie off before the break.

Fintona went 27 minutes in the second half without a score but Killeeshil kept the scoredboard ticking over. Rafferty completed her hat trick, finishing with 3-2. Shannon Stevenson, Collins, Skeffington and Mc Kenna all added points. The Pearses worked hard but found the going tough. Donnelly and Erin Marlow worked tirelessly for them and got two late points but with a solid St Mary’s defence at their best it was one way traffic and a convincing win.

The semi-final line up will be completed as Ardboe face Cappagh, the winners take on Killeeshill, Trillick and Clonoe meet in the other semi-final.
