With the focus over the past weekend on the nine championship games that were played it would be easy to forget that there were still league games that took place with important league points up for grabs. Trillick played their third game in six days and their second against Clonoe during that time and once again the O’Rahillys came out on top. Niall Donnelly and Rory Brennan scored goals for the St.Macartans with Niall Gormley getting a trio of points but they were beaten 2-5 to 1-11 with Declan Coney getting the visitors goal and PJ Lavery and Stephen McNulty hitting half a dozen points between them.

The game of the day in division three saw Aghaloo edge out Derrytresk 1-10 to 1-9 in what was essentially a shoot out between Stephen Donnelly [1-4] and Niall Gavin [1-7]. Killeeshil remain two points clear at the top after a 0-15 to 1-7 victory at home to Glenelly on a day when Shane Mallon and Gary Reilly notched a dozen points between them, Cathal Nicholas with all but two of his side’s tally. Mark and Stephen Kelly scored goals for Owen Roes but Beragh took the honours with Stephen McNamee and Ryan O’Keefe finding the net and Martin Rodgers contributing seven points. Errigal Ciaran defeated Fintona 2-10 to 2-6 with Damian McDermott, Aaron McKenna, Niall Mellon and Niall Donnelly getting the goals for their respective sides. Conor Cartin scored two goals with Chris McCarroll and Willie Mitchell also finding the net as Tattyreagh won at Carrickmore Thirds.
