Dromore remain on course for another League and championship double as they made it through to this year’s league final following a very convincing win away to Clonoe in today’s semi final. The county champions started well and showed all their defensive qualities to restrict the home side to just two points in the opening thirty minutes while both Eoin Mc Cusker and Conor O’Neill found the target for Dromore. The St Dympnas moved six points ahead, 0-08 to 0-02, midway through the second half with further scores from O’Neill and Colm Mc Cullagh. However just when they appeared to be coasting they were reduced to fourteen men when top scorer O’Neill received a straight red card which will rule him out of next week’s league final against Carrickmore.

Clonoe then staged a late revival but in spite of scores from Martin Hughes, Conor Mc Aliskey, Ryan O’Neill and Stephen Mc Nulty Dromore held on to win and sealed the victory with a fine forty metre score from team captain Eoin Mc Cusker. Final score Dromore 0-10, Clonoe 0-06.

Full Time – Clonoe 0-6 Dromore 0-10 – Eoin McCusker slots a forty metre free to calm Dromore nerves and send them into the Division 1 League Final.  Dromore v Carrickmore then in what should be a real cracker.

Five minutes into injury time and the lead is down to three following a Conor McAliskey point.  That’s four in a row for Clonoe.  Clonoe 0-6 Dromore 0-9

Injury time – Clonoe’s Stephen McNulty reduces the lead to four but it looks like Clonoe have left the fight back until too late.

56 minutes gone and Dromore now lead by five.   Eoin McCusker landed a long range free before Ryan R O’Neill and substitute Martin Hughes found the range for Clonoe.  Clonoe 0-4 Dromore 0-9

49 minutes gone in Clonoe.  Dromore still lead 0-8 to 0-2.  They’ve been reduced to 14 men following a straight red card for Conor O’Neill who now looks certain to miss the county league final should they as now expected win today.

38 minutes gone and Dromore now in full control.  They’ve opened up a six point lead thanks to points from Conor O’Neill (2) and a rare right footed point from Colm McCullagh.  Clonoe 0-2 Dromore 0-8

#Paul McGirr Tournament – Just hearing that Rostrevor lead Coalisland 1-7 to 1-1 at half time in Dromore.

Half Time – Dromore 0-5 Clonoe 0-2  – Blood sub Fergal Quinn came in for Hugh McNulty before the break and fired over Dromore’s last point of the half.  Clonoe have it all to do in the second half if they’re going to turn this one around.

27 minutes gone.  Dromore lead by two.  Conor O’Neill kicked a free before Clonoe half back Gary made it 0-3 to 0-2.  Eoin McCusker has slotted a fourth point for Dromore as we head towards half time.  Clonoe 0-2 Dromore 0-4

15 minutes away and Clonoe have opened their scoring through a Colm Doris point.  Very keenly contested game which is threatening to boil over at times.

7 minutes gone in Clonoe.  Dromore are 0-2 to 0-0 ahead thanks to an Eoin McCusker fisted point and a Conor O’Neill free.

Sean Hurson is the man in charge this afternoon at a very sunny Clonoe.  Very decent crowd in to see how this one goes.  The winners will meet Carrickmore probably next weekend.
