Daire Martin and Conor Mallon combine to stop a certain goal for Armagh and the ball is pushed wide for a 45. Armagh press and Grimley punches over the bar to reduce the gap to four points.

Hackett with a free puts 5 between the sides as we enter injury time, there will be another three minutes.

28 minutes gone and it looks like going to the wire. Mark Bradley with the first from his right foot makes it 4-10 to 0-18

Tyr 3-9, Armagh 0-18. O’Hanlon brings the sides level with a fine point on 24 minutes.

Grimley with a fine point puts two points between the sides. But Tyrone respond with a brilliant move to finish to the net with Mc Gahan and Tyrone now lead by a point.

Another wide for Armagh and a good chance to go ahead is lost.

Armagh’s Burns puts his team ahead with free with ten minutes played. Niall Mc Kenna is replaced by Ruairi Mc Glone and Mark Bradley levels the game again with his sixth score of the day.

Mc Gahan scores with his first touch to close the gap to a point. He levels the game with a super free from forty minutes five minutes into the second half. 0-13 to 2-7.

Ciaran Mc Geary wins a free after working hard but Hackett is wide with the chance.

We are back underway and Armagh are on the attack.

Tyrone are back on the field and show two changes with Ruairi Kelly and James Mc Gahan on for Ciaran Mc Laughlin and Diarmuid Carroll.

A real roller coaster of a first half that saw Armagh come flying out of the blocks. They were superb as they cut through the Tyrone defence repeatedly to land some fine scores and establish a solid first half lead. Tyrone were in trouble but were rescued by two timely goals from corner forwards Mark Bradley and Sean Hackett. However Tyrone have been surviving on scraps at times while they must be thanking Daire Martin in goals for preventing Armagh from being out of sight after fifteen minutes with two great saves. Still lots to play for in the next thirty minutes.

Bradley again this time with a goal after a one two with Hackett, and the sides are level as half time approaches but Armagh captain O’Neill strides through to put Armagh ahead 0-12to 2-5 and they have another chance from a 13 metre free to extend their lead and Armagh get their first from a free to lead 0-13 to 2-5 in what has been a real ding dong thirty minutes of minor football.

A great pass from Ruairi Sludden finds Bradley and it is a three point game 0-11 Armagh, Tyrone 1-5. Tyrone are fortunate to be this close to an Armagh side that have been superb in this first half.

Mark Bradley is beginning to find his range and with 27 minutes gone it is 0-11 to 1-4.

Diarmuid Carroll finds himself one on one with the keeper but the shot is saved and Tyrone get a 45 which is hit short and the chance is lost. 26 mins on the clock.

Mark Bradley is out in front and strikes over a fine score from play, it is 1-3 to 0-11 with 25 minutes on the clock.

O’Hanlon again this time with a shot off the crossbar and Armagh make it 0-10, make that 0-11 with Ryan Mc Shane getting on the scoreboard.

Comiskey with another fine point and it is now 0-9 to 1-1, Tyrone still struggling in spite of those two scores. Danny Mc nulty bursts through to score from a very narrow angle and with 22 minutes gone it is 1-2 to 0-9, Armagh ahead.

Armagh show no sign of panic and O’Hanlon strikes his side’s 8th point from play of this first half.

Yellow cards for Tyrone 5 and Armagh 11

Peter Mc Kenna is wide from about thirty metres out but Mark Bradley hits Tyrone’s second score to make it 1-1 to 0-7 on 19 minutes.

O’Hanlon again and it is now 0-6 to no score with fifteen minutes on the clock. Straight from the kick out it is 0-7 with another point from play this time from Grimley but Tyrone’s response is immediate with Sean Hackett banging a much needed goal for Tyrone 1-0 to 0-7 with 16 minutes on the clock.

Tyrone’s first attack and shot on goal results in a 45 which Danny Mc Nulty strikes narrowly wide, 14 gone.

It is now 0-5 to no score as Rafferty makes if five scores from play and they lead comfortably. Tyrone need to get started.

Make it 0-4 as O’Hanlon bursts through and punches over the bar with thirteen minutes on the clock.

Tyrone are being pulled all over the field and are struggling to get a foothold. Armagh score their third point from midfielder Grimley and with 11 minutes gone it is Armagh 0-3 tyrone no score.

Daire Martin denies Armagh a certain goal with a miraculous stop but Armagh full forward Comiskey knocks over his sides second score.

Another wide for Armagh as they dominate the play, Tyrone very slow to settle.

Great save by Daire Martin in goals and the ball goes out for the first 45 of the match which Rafferty of Armagh misses.

A huge crowd in for this minor game all expecting a keenly contested game between two very capable sides.

Both teams are out on the park and it has to be said that Armagh look a big physical side. We will learn an awful lot about the quality of this Tyrone side over the next hour and a half. Hopefully they can deliver a good performance and a big result.

A wedding ring was lost last night on Main Street in Omagh , if anyone happens to have found it please hand it in to the bar staff Rue or in Ostlers.

Tyrone minors have been out for a walk around the pitch as they prepare for their first round clash with Armagh. The only news of changes to the panel is that Caolan Corr will not tog out as a sub and his place on the bench will be taken by Cathal Devlin of Steartstown wearing number 25.
