Galbally Account for Aghyaran in the IFC

Final Score – Galbally 0-12 Aghyaran 1-6.  It wasn’t the most convincing of finishes but the Pearses are safely through to the Quarter finals of the Tyrone Intermediate Football Championship.  Michael Anderson helped himself to a consolation goal for Aghyaran.

Second half substitute Caolan Dolan adds a fourth point for Aghyaran but the game looks long gone for Aghyaran.  Galbally 0-12 Aghyaran 0-4

48 minutes away in Loughmacrory and Galbally are nine points up.  0-12 to 0-3.  Eamon McElroy and Mickey Murphy have both added points from play.

Opening ten minutes of the second half and it’s now Galbally 0-10 Aghyaran 0-3.  Michael Anderson opened the scoring after the break with a point but that was cancelled out by a Mickey Murphy point.

A Michael Anderson point on the stroke of half time makes in 0-9 to 0-2 as Aghyaran can now look forward to the wind at their backs in the second half.

27 mins gone and Galbally lead 0-9 to 0-1.  Neil Hagan fires over a ninth point for the Pearses before Aghyaran finally open their account with a point from Shane Sweeney.

24 mins played and it’s now 0-8 to 0-0. Two further points from Neil Hagan and Blaine Nugent.

12 mins away away and it’s now Galbally 0-6 Aghyaran 0-0.  Four more Galbally points from Paul Rafferty, Ryan McGurk, a Mickey Murphy free from 45 metres and a Blaine Nugent point have eased the Pearses clear.

Five minutes gone in Loughmacrory and Galbally lead 0-2 to 0-0.  Blaine Nugent and Paul Rafferty were the men on the score sheet for the Pearses.
