Tyrone continue their Ulster Minor League programme tomorrow with a trip to neighbours Donegal. It will be match number three for Mickey Donnelly’s team and they will be hoping to make it three wins out of three and maintain their 100% record. The match is due to take place at Ballybofey with a 12:00pm throw in time. Teamtalkmag.com will bring you live updates from shortly after noon.

Tyrone trail to Donegal eighteen  minutes in 1-3 to 0-1 as they find the Tir Connail pace and movement difficult to contend with. It took Tyrone fifteen minutes to open their account with a point from Ruairi Sludden. The Red Hands are beginning to settle but will have to work very hard if they are to turn this one around.

It is half time in Ballbofey and Mickey Donnelly’s side still have work to do. The score line makes better reading from a Tyrone point of view but they are still struggling to cope with the creativity and pace of Donegal. It is 1-4 to 1-2 for the home side with Tyrone’s goal coming following a fisted clearance from the Donegal keeper. Philip Donnelly pounced on the mistake and finished it to the net to give Tyrone hope. Tyrone’s other score of the half came from a free by Sean Hackett.

Well what ever manager Mickey Donnelly has said at the break seems to have worked because Tyrone have produced a much better second half display and with less than five minutes remaining Tyrone lead 1-11 to 1-5 with Sean Hackett 0-3 playing well for the Red Hands.

The game finishes 1-11 to 1-6 for Tyrone with some outstanding defensive displays from Ryan Mc Elroy, Ciaran Mc Laughlin and Caolan Harvey while Ruairi Sludden was the man of the match for Tyrone. The Red Hands scorers on the day were Philip Donnelly 1-1, Sean Hackett 0-3, Mark Bradley 0-2, Sean Molloy 0-1, Peter Mc Kenna 0-02, Darragh Kavanagh 0-1, Caolan Harvey 0-1, Rory Mc Glone 0-1, Ruairi Sludden 0-1. This result leaves Tyrone top of their section with three wins out of three for the season
