Loughmacrory put the disappointment of last weekend’s championship final narrow loss behind them to defeat Glenelly 4-15 to 1-5. The home side began well with Ronan, Enda and Ciaran Ward leading the way and such was their dominance that the game was over by half time as Loch led 2-9 to no score. Glenelly improved after the break but they had no answer to their opponents’ ability to take scores as both Ronan Ward(2-4) and Sean O’Kane(2-3) bagged a brace of goals apiece. Enda Ward, Ciaran Ward and Sean Pol Slane each hit two points as Loughmacrory edged closer to the title with a very impressive nineteen point win.

Clogher and Fintona continued to keep the pressure on Loughmacrory with fine wins of their own today. Clogher defeated Errigal Thirds at home while Fintona travelled to Killyman and produced a super team display to come from 1-4 to 0-3 down at the break and win 2-12 to 1-5. Enda Mc Gahan was in fine first half form for the home side but Thomas Mc Grath, Kevin Mc Girr, Aaron Mc Carney, Benny Mc Carney and Herbie Mellon made sure their team stayed in the hunt for a play-off place. Clogher and Errigal was much closer than many expected in the opening half with only three points separating the sides at the break 0-5 to 0-2. Jamie Callaghan hit three points for Clogher while Michael Harte and Darren Carson were on target for Errigal. A goal from Barry Mc Kenna early in the second half put Clogher in total control and they eased to a 1-12 to 1-3 win.

Aghaloo and Dregish fought out a 1-8 to 1-8 draw in a  game where there was little between the sides throughout. Aghaloo led at the break 1-3 to 0-4 but the Pearse Ogs showed commendable character to outscore their opponents in the second half with Ronan Glackin finding the net and go home with a share of the spoils. Aghaloo scorers: C Mullen 1-00, N Henderson 0-3, B Mc Kenna, M Mc Cormack, R Mc Glone, T Donnelly, M Mc Carron 0-1 apiece. Dregish scorers: R Glackin 1-1, S Breen 0-2, Mark Catterson 0-3, P Mc Crossan and M Timoney 0-1 apiece.

Caslederg’s hopes of reaching the play-offs suffered a setback following a 0-9 to 1-4 defeat against Brockagh. The Derg reached the break 1-4 to 0-4 in front with their goal coming from Sean Harper and Mark Corry and Caolan Harvey among the points. However they failed to score in  the second half and Brocagh hit five unanswered points to take the win.
