A more clinical and well organised Loughmacrory eased to the final of the grade 2 minor league as they beat a much understrength Omagh at Tattyreagh.
Despite missing eight players the St Enda’s did give their all and at times they really did press but with 1-6 from the impressive Pearse Mc Donald and 2-1 from talisman attacker Odhran Curran the Lough progressed with eight points to spare.
Starting well with a Kevin Mc Anulla point Omagh failed to build on that as the Lough took a grip driving through the opening half to lead by eleven at the break. Mc Donald teed up Curran for the first goal early on and the nippy corner forward who alongside Mc Donald orchestrated so much that was good for the winners added a second on 26 minutes.
Well organised at the back with Ciaran Mc Crystal and Michael Gallagher sharp the Lough’s sweeping moves caused Omagh issues but Daire Sally, the Omagh side’s most prominent player in the opening half worked tirelessly alongside Mc Anulla to try and turn things around. In the end Seanan Doyle tagged on Omagh’s second point on the stroke of half time.
St Enda’s did rally on the restart. With more purpose Nathan O’Hagan pointed, Oran Farley went agonisingly close for a goal before nippy number ten Cillian Mc Crory was on hand to steer in a goal. The gap down to seven was only a brief respite though as Curran replied with a third Lough goal seconds later.
Omagh did their best to get back into the game with Doyle, Mc Anulla and Mc Crory points but Loughmacrory  just had that bit extra and pressed home their advantage with Mc Donald and Caolan Fox keeping the scoreboard moving.
In the latter stages Mc Crory finished with a further 1-1 but it was the Lough who eased over the line, Omagh hopeful of having players back for nest weeks championship as it finished Omagh 2-8 Loughmacrory 3-13.
