LoughTec Division 3 Hotshots Week 6
Wednesday 07.07.2021

It was Round 6 of League football for most clubs at the weekend resulting in some very competitive, high scoring matches and several impressive individual scoring displays. In scoring, consistency is often key and when you look at our scoring charts and hotshots the same names regularly crop up. Two players in particular have been leading the line for their clubs for some time and once again they are up there with the very best: Niall Gavin of Derrytresk and Brocagh’s Mickey Hughes
Niall Gavin has been Mr Consistent for Derrytresk for years and last weekend he was once again his team’s top scorer landing 0-8 for the Hill Men. He was joined on eight points by Jamie Mc Aleer of Urney and Tommy Murphy of Drumragh but impressive as 0-8 is, it was still some distance behind the top two scorers in the LoughTec Division Three Hotshots.
Fintona picked up two points on the road with a fine win over Brackaville in a game that saw county minor Conor Mc Gillion have a day he will remember for some time as he scored 2-6 for The Pearses. Twelve points is impressive shooting any day but even that total was beaten by Brocagh ace Mickey Hughes who is currently going through a fine run of scoring for his club. Once again he hit form at the weekend with a personal return of 1-10 to be Week 6 Division 3 LoughTec Hotshot.
