St Macartans and Aodh Ruadh served up a high scoring and very entertaining Division One league game this evening as the county champions triumphed 5-9 to 1-7. The Dungannon girls began brightly and raced into a 0-3 to 0-1 lead before Macartans began to get to grips with the game. Points from Maura Kelly and Cathy Donnelly (2) followed by a goal from Joline Donnelly gave them a lead they would not relinquish. Macartans reached the break leading by two on a score line of 1-6 to 1-4.

As the second half began the Donnelly girls Joline and Cathy once again showed their quality with a couple of early points. Aodh Ruadh replied with two of their own before a four goal blitz from Macartans ended the game as a contest. Mary Louise Mc Girr hit the first two while Cathy Donnelly continued her fine run of scoring with two further majors. Final score St Macartans 5-9, Aodh Ruadh 1-7.
