Holy Trinity Cookstown 0-8 St.Pats Armagh 4-17

Holy Trinity are still searching for their first MacRory Cup points off the campaign after they were well beaten by an impressive St.Pats Armagh side at Paddy Cullen Park in Cookstown on Thursday afternoon.

The hosts had opened the scoring through Jamie Concannon but that was as good as it got for them. Michael McSorley was in fine form for Armagh with as number of points with Ryan Dynes, Daniel Cullen and Caomh Agnew among their points. Karol Wawrynkiewicz hit a fine brace of points for Holy Trinity but well taken goals from Eglish duo James Daly and Turlough Muldoon at the beginning and end of the half left them virtually out of sight at the break leading 2-11 to 0-6.

Concannon opened the second half scoring but within a minute of the restart Oisin Gribben had scored Armagh’s third major. Agnew, Gribben and McSorley all tagged on points with the latter also getting his side’s fourth goal of the afternoon as they made it two wins out of two.

Armagh scorers: M McSorley 1-9 (4F), T Muldoon 1-1, J Daly 1-0, O Gribben 1-0, D Gribben 0-2, C Agnew 0-2, C Hughes 0-1, D Jordan 0-1 (F), R Dynes 0-1
