Danske Bank MacRory Cup
St.Mary’s Magherafelt 1-11 St.Paul’s Bessbrook 0-13
St.Mary’s Magherafelt are through to the Danske Bank MacRory Cup final after Kevin Small converted a free with the last kick of the game at the Athletic Grounds on Wednesday night to edge out St.Paul’s Bessbrook in their semi final replay.
St.Paul’s were the better side early on with Richard Keenan firing over a couple of superb points as they established a 0-4 to 0-1 lead. Daniel Bradley and Cormac Murphy replied for St.Mary’s as they closed the gap at the break.
Bessbrook moved four in front on the resumption through Shea Loye and Liam Kerr but a well taken Liam Quinn goal was the catalyst for a Magherafelt comeback.
Murphy levelled matters before Tiernan McAteer put then in front. Kerr looked to have forced extra time but Small had the final say in the sixth minute of injury time.
