Markey Cup Game Off

The Markey Cup U18 Vocational Schools quarter final between St.Patrick’s College Dungannon and Carrick which was scheduled for Tuesday in Ballybofey has been postponed. The reason is that Donegal play Cork in the Inter County All Ireland Final this Saturday and there are a number of Carrick players involved including their star player Patrick McBrearty. The refixture is likely to take place on Tuesday March 1st. Meanwhile in the same competetion St.Ciaran’s Ballygawley face holders St.Malachy’s Castlewellan in the quarter final at Oliver Plunkett Park Crossmaglen on Wednesday afternoon with a twelve o’clock throw in.
