Markey Cup Play Off
Tuesday 15.03.2011

The first of the Markey Cup play offs takes place this afternoon when St.Ciaran’s Ballygawley and Holy Trinity Cookstown go head to head at Clonmore. This was originally supposed to be a semi final with the winners meeting Donegal side Rosses in the decider but with Sacred Heart Omagh winning their appeal last week there is now a three way play off between the trio. St.Ciaran’s won the group match against Cookstown back at the start of January at Father Hackett Park on a 2-10 to 0-11 score line but there is a lot more at stake this afternoon n. Ballygawley will look for big performances from the likes of James Lennon, Neil Hagan, Sean Hackett, Cillian Barkey and Paul O’Hagan and they could well be boosted by the return from injury of Darragh Donnelly. Holy Trinity will be looking for revenge for that league defeat a couple of weeks ago and with the likes of Ruairi Mullan, Brendan Burns, Stiofan Gervin, Michael Cassidy, Conor McAleer, Shea Coney and Danny McNulty within their ranks they will be confident that they can come out on top.
