Masters Through To Final
Tyrone Masters travelled to Dromard in Longford on Saturday to take on Clare in the 2022 semi final. Defending champions Tyrone went into the game knowing very little about the opposition but the team management of Joe, Eugene, Kieran and Damien approached the game in the same way they have approached all games and made sure the players were well up for the challenge.
The Red Hand Masters took a grip of things from early on with Stevie O’Neill, Ryan Mc Callion and Eoin Bradley among the points. Martin Grimes hit a first half goal to put Tyrone in a very strong position at the break. Clare did make something of a recovery after the restart but Tyrone were not to be denied and points from Michael Anderson, Conor Gormley, Martin Grimes and Ciaran Gourley sealed the win.
This victory means Tyrone Masters have made it through to the final on a score line of 1-15 to 0-5. Their opponents in that game will once again be Dublin who defeated Kerry 0-12 to 0-10 on Saturday in the other semi final.
