Monday 15.08.2016
IRISH TV Gaelic Masters Round 2
Tyrone 1-13 Antrim 0-5
Antrim travelled to Killyclogher last Friday night to take on All Ireland Champions Tyrone in Round 2 of the IRISH TV Gaelic Masters competition. They lined out with a strong team that included past county stars Paul Mc Erlean, Frankie Wilson, Sean Mc Greevy and Stephen Mulvenna.
Tyrone made heavy work of it in the first half wasting a number of good scoring chances. Antrim stuck to their task well and remained in contention throughout the first half getting back in numbers and then breaking from defence at pace.
Tyrone began to impose their authority on the game in the second half but only really put the contest beyond doubt in the last 15 minutes showing some of the form that brought them success last year with Raymond Gormley bagging a late goal. Damien Gormley, Mark Darcy, Mark Donnelly, Liam Patterson and Gareth Quinn were amongst the point scorers
