Mc Garrity Injury Worry For Minors
Saturday 07.06.2014
Tyrone minor management team of Mickey Donnelly and Kieran Mc Hugh face a worrying time as they reflect on the latest series of club championship games in Tyrone. Among those lining out for their clubs on Friday night were county players Jonah Lafferty of Urney and Galbally pair Ronan Nugent and Enda Mc Garrity.
County wing half back Mc Garrity was in tremendous form for his club scoring a goal and two points in the opening half of their clash with neaighbours Dungannon Clarkes. However he was powerless to prevent his side’s exit from the Intermediate championship as they suffered a four point defeat at Donaghmore.
Worse still however was the fact that the highly rated youngster was stretchered from the field after suffering what looked like a fairly serious ankle injury. Mc Garrity spent a long time on the pitch in receipt of treatment but he was unable to continue and had to be helped from the field. At this stage there is no definitive news of the extent of his injury but it looks like a race against time for the county minor management to have him ready for the clash with Monaghan in the Ulster Championship.
