Omagh 3rds and Errigal 3rds faced each other at the weekend in a very close game that was decided in the end by a late free from the boot of veteran Davy Harte on a scoreline of 3-7 to 1-12 . Ronan Kelly top scored for Omagh with 1-6 while Ben Mc Farland and  Kevin Mc Anulla both hit a brace apiece. Omagh led at the break 1-5 to 1-4 but Errigal had goals from Harte, Callum Quinn (1-1), and Senan Canavan (1-1) on their way to the two points.

Killyman bagged four goals but still came up short in their clash with neighbours Brackaville. The Roes led at the break 2-7 to 2-5. Goal scorers for Killyman were Eoghan Mc Gahan 1-3, Enda Mc Gahan 1-2 and Caomhan Mc Gahan 1-1 while  Sean Donnelly also found the net.  Brackaville finished up 4-17 to 4-8 winners. Goal scorers on the day were Shea Fee (2-6), Colm Sharkey (1-0) and Ryan O’Neill (1-1).

CNG ran out convincing winners over Donaghmore 3rds after trailing the village lads 1-10 to 2-3 at the break. Donaghmore were in excellent form in the first half and totally deserved their half time lead. Indeed only goals from Oran O’Neill and Marc Henry kept the north Tyrone side in it during the first half. CNG were much improved after the break but they only took the lead when Ciaran Kerlin scored a last minute point to take the win. Donaghmore scorers on the day were Caolan Quinn 1-02,  Caolan Mulgrew 0-04, Larry Shields 0-04, Ultan Quinn 1-02, Oisin Howell 0-01, John Mc Kenna 0-01 and Ruairi O’Neill 0-1.

Brocagh were in fine scoring form as they saw off the challenge of Cookstown 3rds on a final score of 3-20 to 0-8. Unsurprisingly Mickey Hughes fired over 0-9 while James Mc Kiver finished with 2-1 and Cathal Donaghy hit the Emmetts other goal. On the night Cookstown had a brace of goals apiece from Aidan Mc Elhatton, Ryan Owens, James Devlin and Thomas Mc Brien.

Derrytresk and Augher served up a competitive contest that was close throughout before the Hill Men eventually took the points at the end. On a scoreline of 0-17 to 0-13. Odhran Hughes top scored with  0-6 while Liam Slater (0-4) and Eoin Mc Nally shared seven points between them. Finbarr Mc Elroy, Darragh Kavanagh and Dara Donnelly were scorers in chief for Augher,

There were also wins for Castlederg over Tattyreagh and Glenelly over Eskra. A last minute long distance free from the boot of Daire Corry sealed a one point away win over Tattyreagh to continue their good start to the season. There was a high scoring match between Stewartstown and Drumragh which finished in a 2-24 to 2-18 win for the Harps. It’s not been the start to the new season the Sarsfields had been hoping for. Niall Mc Carney top scored for Drumragh with 1-4 while Conor Maguire (1-) and Cain Murphy (0-4) helped keep their side in it.

There were three points between the sides when Glenelly hosted Eskra at the weekend with the home side emerging 0-16 to 1-10 winners. Cormac Arkinson got the Emmetts goal while Finn Kelly landed a brace of two pointers and Rory Kinsella finished with a brace of two pointers. Glenelly deserved the win with Lorcan Mc Cullagh (0-4) top scoring two points each from Eamon Mc Connell, Cormac Mc Bride, Garrett O’Neill, Nathan Mc Laughlin and Harley Patton.

It was a big on the road win for the Derg who saw off the challenge of Tattyreagh at Darcy Park. Daire Corry’s last minute long distance two point free sealed the win for the visitors. Corin Mc Connell top scored with 1-5 while Corry finished with 0-7 and Eoin Bradley chipped in with three very valuable points. The Tatts will be disappointed to have lost this one as they invoked well placed at half time leading 1-8 to 1-3. Keelan Mc Donagh top scored for the home side with 0-7 while Stevie Gervin (1-2) and Brendan Armstrong chipped in with scores.

It was a high scoring contest between Stewartstown and Drumragh at the weekend with the Harps eventually getting the better of the Sarsfields on a scoreline of 2-24 to 2-18. Stewartstown led at the break 1-12 to 2-8 with the Harps goal coming from Shea O’Neill with nine minutes of the first half remaining. The same player responded to Drumragh drawing level two minutes into the second half when he found the net for his second major of the game. Macauley Quinn, Theo Lowe and Michael Hughes were on target for the home side who finished deserved six point winners at the end.  Drumragh will be disappointed with their second half  after a very positive opening thirty minutes. Niall Mc Carney, (1-4), Conor Gormley (1-1), Cain Murphy (0-4) and Ronan Maguire (0-3) were among the scorers for Drumragh.
