Sunday 29.06.2025
Killyman collected two further points following their 1-12 to 0-11 win over CNG on Friday night. A first half goal from Enda Mc Gahan helped them into a 1-4 to 0-4 lead at the break and some dogged defence ensured the points remained in Killyman. Enda Mc Gahan finished with 1-5 while Eamon Donnelly and Declan Mc Alinden hit a brace of points for the winners. On a disappointing night for CNG where profligacy in attack cost them Robbie Conway top scored with 0-5, Marc Henry hit 0-2 and there was a point apiece from Gareth Mc Dermott, Ciaran Kerlin, Conor Harkin and Aaron Devine.
Brackaville had seven points to spare over Donaghmore in their derby clash winning 1-19 to 1-12. Jason O’Neill (0-8) landed a couple of two pointers for the Roes while others on target were Ronan Mc Hugh (1-6), Shea Fee (0-2), Cailum Coyle (0-2) and Sean Daly. Donaghmore trailed at the break 0-8 to 0-5 but just could not close the gap sufficiently in the second half. Conor Mc Ginn led the line superbly with 0-11 while Aodhan Molloy got the goal and Aidan Mc Closkey also had a point.
The Tatts and Errigal 3rds served up a high scoring game before the men in red and black emerged victorious on a score of 2-21 to 3-10. Interestingly it was Errigal who led at the break 1-7 to 1-5 but the introduction of Peadar Mullan and Adrian Martin at the start of the second half changed the game. Keelan Mc Donagh was in inspired form and top scored with 1-11 in a tremendous show of shooting while Mickey Allen also found the net (1-0). Among the points for the winners were Joe Cartin (0-4), Niall Murray (0-2) and Ronan Collins (0-2). Errigal produced some fine football and were a handful for their opponents for long periods. Ryan Lynch hit 0-6 while Barry Donnelly (1-1), Robbie Harper (1-0), Ewan Mc Cabe (1-0) accounted for their goals and Davy Harte (2) and Chrissy Kelly hit 0-3 between them.
The game of the night was the derby clash between Brocagh and Derrytresk which was close and competitive throughout before the Hill emerged victorious 1-19 to 0-19 Mickey Hughes led the line for the Emmetts finishing with 0-9 while Barry Donnelly (5), Dan Deehan (2), Cathal Donnelly and Aidan Dorman were all on target. In games like these goals are key and Niall Gavin’s first half goal proved vital in the final outcome. Gavin finished with 1-4 while Cathal O’Neill hit 0-5, Eoghan Mc Nally bagged 0-2, Liam Slater finished with 0-3 and there was a point apiece for Ultan Mc Kee, Caolan Corr, Keenan Donaghy, Pat Campbell and Odhran Hughes.
Strabane continued on their winning ways with a 0-20 to 3-4 win over neighbours and rivals Glenelly. Leading 0-8 to 0-2 at the break the Sigersons looked well placed to push on and win but three second half goals from the visitors changed the complexion of the game and made it a lot closer than the hosts had hoped for. Ronan O’Kane was in fine form hitting 2-2 for Glenelly while Kevin Mc Connell chipped in with 1-0 and Cormac Mc Bride and Thomas Coyle both added points. Once again Oran Mc Grath proved his worth to the home side with 0-4 while Ronan Mc Laughlin (3), Eoin Haire (2), Haydn Mc Namee (2), Mark Roarty (2) and Kyle Morrison (2) were all among the points for Strabane as their fine run of form continues.
Clogher are maintaining the pressure on Strabane as themselves and Cookstown recorded further wins at the weekend. Clogher had the small matter of a local derby clash with neighbours Augher to deal with but a rapid fire 3-7 in the first half made sure there would be no slip ups in outcome. Aidan Mc Elroy found the net for Augher in the first half while Declan Connolly, Ronan Mc Elroy and Eoghan Keenan got among the points for the defeated side. Final score Clogher 3-18, Augher 1-9.
Drumragh travelled to the Derg on Friday night and put in another high scoring game worthy of a team with honours in mind. The Sarsfields hit 6-11 on their way to two points while restricting their opponents to 1-8. Daniel O’Neill was on scoring form hitting 2-5 while others to get goals were Cormac Dolan (2) and one each from Niall Mc Carney and Michael Roche. Also on target with points was Ronan Maguire (2) and one apiece by Niall Maguire, Malachy Mc Manus, Aidan Mc Carney and Paddy Colgan.
