Brackaville were pushed all the way by Tattyreagh before seeing off the men in red and black on a score line of 3-12 to 2-12. Brackaville hit the net twice in the first half courtesy of Shea Fee and Ronan Mc Hugh to move six points clear and they maintained that lead until half time. Tattyreagh responded well in the second half with an early goal but a third Brackaville goal from Sean Daly helped keep the Tatts at arm’s length and in spite of a second goal for the visitors Brackaville held on for the win 3-12 to 2-12. Keelan Mc Donagh top scored for the Tatts with 0-5 while Peadar Mullan (1-1), Mickey Allen (1-0), Stevie Gervin (0-3), Joe Cartin (0-2) and Niall Murray (0-1) were also target for scores. Unfortunately their efforts were not enough to prevent Brackaville from taking the win.
High flying Clogher and Drumragh met at Clanabogan with both sides fielding understrength sides because of injuries and holidays. With so much at stake in this one it was always going to be competitive and hard hitting but Clogher’s greater strength and experience proved decisive . Drumragh began the second half well with Niall Mc Carney hitting five points to close the gap to two. Clogher steadied the ship with Callaghan, Shiels and Bogue outstanding for the visitors who pulled away to win comfortably. Bogue top scored with nine points in total for the visitors while Ryan Mc Caughey, Vincent Lowry and Conor Shiels were also on target.
