There were wins this evening in Division 3A for Cookstown over Strabane and Glenelly v Augher.
Cookstown are running up some impressive scoring totals and tonight was no different as their win over an understrength Strabane keeps their promotion hopes alive as they moved level at the top of the table with Clogher. The score at half time was Fr Rocks 4-13 Strabane 0-1 and the Cookstown lads finished up comfortable winners on a final score of 4-23 to 0-4 . Matthew Carberry top scored with 2-2 and was joined on the scoring tally by Michael Mc Elhatton (1-4), Karol Mc Guigan (1-1), Conal Sheehy (0-4), Niall Mc Murray (0-3), and Barry Potter (0-3). The marksmen for the Sigersons were Haydn McNamee (2), Eoin Haire and Ronan McLaughlin.
In the other Division Three game Glenelly took the win over Augher on a score of 3-19 to 1-18 having led at the break 1-12 to 1-6. Ronan O’Kane top scored for Glenelly with 1-6 while Garrett O’Neill hit 2-0. Lorcan Mc Cullagh (4), Nathan Mc Laughlin (3) and Eamon Mc Connell (3) were also among the scores for the north Tyrone side. Darragh Kavanagh bagged an early goal for the visitors and added a few points with DEclan Connolly, Ronan McElroy and Dara Donnelly on traget as well.
