Mc Girr Bros Division 3 Wrap Up
Thursday 22.05.2025

There were league wins on Wednesday evening for CNG, Urney, Killyman, Brocagh and Derrytresk in the 3rd Division of the Tyrone All County League. The most impressive result and display saw Urney travel to the previously unbeaten Tattyreagh and take the points after a fine team performance.
The return of Jamie Mc Aleer to the Urney forward line gave the border men a huge boost and greater scoring options. Mc Aleer finished with 2-5 against Tattyreagh while Kyle Henry chipped in with 1-5. Ryan Henry and Conor Mc Daid shared five points between them. On what was a disappointing night for the Tatts Keely Mc Donagh finished with 1-6 while there were goals from Ger Mc Elholm and Joe Cartin.
CNG came from being five points behind at the break to defeat Brackaville 3-12 to 1-12. Shea Browne, Robbie Conway and Ciaran Kerlin all chipped in with points in the first half but it was a Robbie Conway goal right at the start of the second half that gave them the belief to go and win the match. A Robbie Conway 45 sailed directly into the Roes net and gave CNG the perfect start to the second period. Shea Browne had a great second half for the winners and finished with 0-8 while Robbie Conway (1-2) and Conor Harkin (1-0) both found the net during the second thirty minutes. The visitors missed a number of chances in the second half and paid the price for their profligacy. Jason O’Neill, Dale Mc Sorley, Ronan Mc Hugh and Shea Fee were among the points for the Roes.
Killyman emerged from their clash with Omagh 3rds winning 2-14 to 2-11 having trailed at the break 0-6 to 0-5. Enda Mc Gahan top scored with 0-7, Gary Hamill bagged 1-3, Eamon Donnelly added 0-3 and Shea Gates found the net once more for his team. Dual player Ciaran Lagan landed two goals for Omagh while Eamon Mc Mahon (3), Adam Grogan and Niall Mc Crory were also among the points.
Derrytresk are still flying high at the top of the league and recorded another win defeating Donaghmore 3rds 1-19 to 0-7. Caolan Corr scored the only goal of the game midway through the first half and by half time the Hill Men had opened up a 1-6 to 0-4 lead. Donaghmore battled throughout the second half but they never really threatened to reduce the deficit and Derrytresk pulled away to win 1-19 to 0-7. Caolan Corr (1-1), Liam Slater (0-4), PJ O’Neill (0-3), Caolan O’Donnell (2), Cathal O’Neill (2), Shea Mc Conville (2) and Keenan Donaghy (2) were among the points for the winners.
Brocagh picked up two points on Wednesday night when they travelled to Dunmoyle and defeated Errigal 3rds 2-12 to 2-7. Davy Harte (1-3) top scored for Errigal with Niall Mc Cartan (1-0) also finding the net. In addition to these scorers Sean Mc Girr, Christopher Mc Kenna and Ewan Mc Cabe each contributed points but they were not enough to deny Brocagh the win. Brocagh’s goals came from Dan Deehan and Enda Mc Guckin while Mickey Hughes top scored with 0-8. Cathal Donnelly, Owen Canavan and Oisin Robinson were also among the points for the Emmetts.
