Derrytresk remain unbeaten and sit at the top of the table following Friday night’s win over Killyman 2-2o to 1-6. The Hill were on top from the start and led at the break 2-7 to 1-4. Wednesday night’s north Tyrone derby between Strabane and Glenelly produced a high scoring and highly entertaining fixture. Glenelly led by six at the break 0-10 to 0-4 only to have their lead chased down by Strabane after the break while being held to two points by a miserly Sigersons defence. Among the points for Glenelly were Cormac Mc Bride 0-4, Ronan O’Kane 0-3 and Lorcan Mc Cullagh 0-2. Strabane produced a superb second half to come from six down and win by five. Haydn Mc Namee (6), Eoin Haire (4), Oran White (3) Oran Mc Grath and Oisin Mc Gillion were among the points for the Sigersons.

Final score Strabane 0-17  Glenelly 0-12

Another North Tyrone derby this week saw CNG entertain Urney with the border men causing an upset and coming away with the win on a score line of  CNG 0-16 Urney 1-14. CNG played wind  assisted in the first half and after hitting five 2 pointers led at the break by six with Shea Browne, Aaron Devine and Kevin Moran among the points. Urney were much improved after the break and a goal in the fiftieth minute helped turn the game in their direction. Ryan Henry (4), Sean Hughes (4), Danny Lynch (1-1) and Kyle Henry (2) got the all important scores for the winners. Unfortunately for CNG all they had to show for their second half efforts were three Gareth Mc Dermott frees.

High flying Cookstown travelled to Eskra on Wednesday evening and were good value for their win. The Fr Rocks continued on their winning ways leading at the break by eight 1-12 to 1-04 with John Mc Ivor, NiallMc Murray and Lorcan Mc Murray to the fore for the winners, Eskra were much more competitive after the break with Cormac Hughes, Conor O’Hagan and Aaron Kelly to the fore.
