Drumragh got the new season underway with a comfortable win over an understrength Castlederg at Clanabogan. The Sarsfields were on top from the off with Niall Mc Carney, Aaron Montgomery and Eoin Montgomery in dominant form. They led 0-9 to 0-1 at the break and although the Derg closed the gap in the second half their two goals came too late to change the outcome of the game. Adam Traynor and Oisin Lynch bagged second half goals for the Derg while they had two pointers from Blaine Lynch and Corin Mc Connell.

Derrytresk and Errigal 3rds served up a high scoring encounter that saw the Hill men making it three wins from three starts for the new league season. The game finished Errigal 0-16, Derrytresk 2-21 after the visitors led at the break 2-8 to 0-9. Liam Slater (1-3) and Caolan Corr got the Derrytresk goals while Eoin Mc Nally (3), Niall Gavin (3), Ultan Mc Kee (3) and Odhran Hughes with a brace of two pointers were among the points for the winners.

Killyman recorded their first win of the new season after a superb second half display saw them come from five points down at the break, 0-9 to 0-4, to win 2-14 to 0-18 against Brocagh. Shea Gates (1-5) and Enda Mc Gahan (1-4) were in top scoring form while Eamon Donnelly, Garry Hamill, Ronan Mc Veigh and Caomhan Mc Gahan also hit points for the winners. This one will take a bit of head scratching for the Emmetts as they will wonder how they let a five point lead at the break slip. For Brocagh Barry Donnelly top scored with seven points while Eoin Canavan, Mickey Hughes, Joe Mc Nally, Cathal Donnelly, Enda Mc Guckin and Conan Mc Donald all bagged points for their team.

Donaghmore hit 2-12 against Urney but that was still not enough for them to secure the win as they lost out by nine on a scoreline of 3-18 to 2-12. Sean Mc Caul and Nathan Toner shared 1-5 between them while Pat Mc Ateer (1-1) also found the net for the Village lads. Urney went into this game without the services of key forward Jamie Mc Aleer but after a concerted team effort the border men took the points. Sean Hughes hit 0-5 while Sean Mc Gowan (2-2) and Conor Mc Daid (1-4)  had their shooting boots well and truly on target.

CNG were another side who let a good half time lead slip as they led Omagh St Endas by four points, 1-10 to 1-6, only to lose out at the final whistle  3-21 to 2-16. The first half scoring saw Robbie Conway  hit 1-01 Shea Browne & Ciaran Kerlin both hit three first half points. Others to hit the target in the first half for CNG were Gavin Tummons, Dan Houston & Kevin Moran. Robbie Conway’s goal on 25th minute gave CNG a 7 point lead but Omagh hit back immediately with a goal of their own. St Endas then took control of the game with 3 x double pointers to take a lead they held until the end.  CNG Scorers: Shea Browne 0.06, Robbie Conway 1. 03, Dan Houston 1.01, Ciaran Kerlin 0.03, Kevin Moran, Marc HenryGavin Tummons 1 point each. Omagh manager Ciaran Mc Daid will be delighted with the manner in which his side responded to their opening day defeat with seven different scorers on Friday night. Ciaran Mc Ardle (1-6) and Ryan Mc Garvey (0-6) led the line while there were scoring returns from Manus Boyle, Ciaran Lagan, Niall Mc Crory, Antain Mc Ginn and Joe Miller.

Tattyreagh are continuing to go well in spite of being short on numbers and lacking cover in key positions. Friday night saw them play host to an improving Brackaville side who arrived at Darcy Park in confident mood. An early goal from Peadar Mullin knocked them back on their heels however as the home side took control. With Mullin and Keelan Mc Donagh leading the line the Tatts moved four clear before Ronan Mc Hugh opened the Roes account.  By half time the visitors were very much in the game with scores from Mc Hugh, Shea Fee and Enda O’Neill saw them reach the whistle trailing 2-9 to 0-8. Tatts second goal came from Stevie Girvan. Brackaville found the going a lot tougher after the break as a tight and well organised Tatts defence held them to six points in the second half to claim the win.
