There were wins in the Junior League this afternoon for Drumragh over Cookstown and Eskra over Glenelly.
Eskra defeated Glenelly on a score line of 3-18 to 2-9. Conor O’Hagan hit 0-5 for the winners while Aaron Kelly (1-2) and Tiernan Mc Caffrey (1-2) joined him at the top of the scoring for the Emmetts. Finn Kelly (0-4) and Cathal Arkinson were also among the scorers on the day. For Glenelly Ronan O’Kane (1-2) and Garrett O’Neill (1-0) got their goals while Nathan Mc Laughlin (0
Cookstown travelled to Clanabogan hoping to maintain their unbeaten run and push for promotion. Unfortunately for the Fr Rocks they found themselves undone by indiscipline and conceded a number of frees that ultimately decided the outcome of the game.Niall Mc Murray got the Cookstown goal in the first half with Michael Mc Elhatton among the points. They led by six at the break but failed to build on that and Drumragh kept going right to the end to claim the win. Once again Niall Mc Carney (1-7) top scored for the home side while Daniel O’Neill (1-4) and Kian Murphy (0-3) were also on target for the winners.
Brocagh travelled north to take on CNG and won by three on a score line of 2-12 to 2-9. Robbie Conway (1-4) and Ciaran Kerlin got the home side’s goals while Keenan Donaghey and Ruairi Blee were also on target. James Mc Kiver (1-3), Barry Donnelly (1-4),Mickey Hughes (0-4) and Cathal Donnelly (0-2) did the scoring for a very happy Emmetts side.
Donaghmore re ordered their biggest win of the season seeing off Killyman on a scoreline of 8-18 to 1-9. Donaghmore led at the break 5-8 to 1-6. There was no let up in the second half as the Village lads recorded the biggest win of their season. Tiernan Mc Ashea (1-1), Aodhan Molloy (1-0), Eoghan Donnelly (1-7), Conal Herron (2-4), Caolan Quinn (0-2), Ultan Quinn (2-2), Aidan Mc Closkey (1-0), Ryan O’Neill and Ryan Mullan were on target for the winners. Killyman found the going tough in this one with Eoghan Mc Gahan (1-2), Cathal Mc Gahan 0-4, Shea Gates (0-2) andDarragh Morgan 0-11 getting their scores.
