Derrytresk hosted Drumragh on Friday night and after a very competitive encounter came away with a 0-17 to 0-13 win. The home side led  by six at the break 0-11 to 0-5 and could have been further in front but for a penalty save by Drumragh custodian James Colgan. Drumragh upped the ante after the break and will be disappointed not to have taken something from this one. Eoin Mc Nally (7) top scored for the Hill, Odhran Hughes hit 0-5, Niall Gavin  (2) and a point apiece for Ultan Mc Kee, Liam Slater and Johnny Campbell. Tommy Mullin top scored for the Sarsfields while others to get among the pointes were Conor Gormley 0-2, Cain Murphy 0-2, Niall Mc Carney 0-2, Ryan Montgomery 0-2 and one apiece from Ryan Baxter and Aaron Montgomery.

Brocagh made the long run to Tattyreagh on Friday night and came up against an improving annd developing home side. A well marshalled Tatts have made a good start to the new season running up some big scores along the way. Among the points for the Emmetts were 0-2 apiece for Aidan Dorman and James Mc Kiver while Stephen Canavan, Brendan Mc  Kiver and Justin Campbell were also on target. Tattyreagh once again looked highly impressive keeping  the Emmetts to a single point in the first half before cruising to another home win. On target for the winners were Callum Leonard 2-1, Keelan Mc Donagh 1-2 with 0-3 a piece for Peadar Mullan, Ronan Collins, Joe Cartin and Stevie Gervan. Final score 3-17 to 0-8 for the Tatts.

Strabane faced Glenelly in the first north Tyrone derby of the season but found the men from Glenelly in determined form. At half time the Sigersons trailed 207 to 0-10. Among the scorers for the Glenelly were Garrett O’Neill with 2-2, Ronan O’Kane 1-3 and Lorcan Mc Bride with 0-5.  On a disappointing evening for Strabane Oran White top scored with 1-3 while Oran Mc Grath 0-4 and Gary Rouse 1-01 were also on target.

A high scoring game at Stewartstown saw the home side defeat Eskra 2-19 to 3-12, After a close and competitive first half the visitors led at the break 2-9 to 1-9. However the home side got their act together after the restart to run out winners. Shea O’Neill hit two goals for Stewartstown while Ronan Biggs, Michael Hughes, Dylan Mc Elhatton, Macauley Quinn were among the points. Eskra will be disappointed not to have taken something from this game. Their goals came from Joe Mc Carroll, Rory Kinsella and Cormac Hughes with two pointers from Johnny Hackett, Conor O’Hagan, and Owen Mc Evoy.

Castlederg continued their recent good run of form to see off Cookstown 3rds in their clash, Owen Mulligan top scored with 1-4 for the Fr Rocks while Nicky Guedes 1–00 and Colm Casey were also among the goals. The Derg have settled well to the new season and with Corin  Mc Connell (0-9) leading the way in terms of scoring they are going to cause problems for most teams. Darren Traynor hit 1-3 with Paddy Porter, Daire Corry and Eoghan Bradley also among the points.

Urney are running up some big scores and gathering the points and they continued on their winning ways at the weekend with a comfortable win over Killyman. They led 1-7 to 0-4 at the break and things did net any easier for the St Mary;s after the restart.. Kieran Logue (1-4) top scored for the border men with Jamie Mc Aleer once more showed his worth to the team’s cause with 0-4 to his name. Ryan Henry top scored for his team with 0-9 while Kyle Henry chipped in with 1-2. On a disappointing night for Killyman Eamon Donnelly top scored with 0-3 while Declan Mc Alinden, Enda Mc Gahan, Cathal Mc Gahan and Eoghan Mc Gahan were among the scorers for Killyman.

Errigsl Ciaran 3rds saw off the challenge of Brackaville on a convincing scoreline of 5-12 to 3-07. Sean Mellon and Senan Canavan shared 2-7 between them with Shane Donaghy, and Sean Mc Cann also finding the net for the Dunmoyle side. Niall Mc Cartan and Kevin Hughes were also among the points for the winners. For a disappointed Brackaville side there were goals from Tiernan Mc Glinchey, Dale Mc Sorley and Ronan Mc Hugh.

Donaghmore 3rds had a convincing win over Omagh 3rds with  Caolan Quinn leading the line and scoring 1-5 of his team’s tally. Ultan Quinn, Larry Shields and Ruairi O’Neill top scored for the Village outfit who ran out convincing and deserved winners. To their credit Omagh battled to the end with goals from Brian Og Campbell and Manus Doyle and three points from the boot of Ronan Kelly.
