It is three from three for Eskra after this battle of the Emmetts at Brocagh in a game where there was little between the sides throughout. After a hard fought and committed opening thirty minutes the sides were locked at 1-4 apiece. Eskra worked very hard defensively in the second half and their ability to deny Brocagh time and space proved decisive. Eoin Mc Caffrey (1-1), Cathal Meegan 0-2, Joe Mc Carroll 0-4, Niall Marlow 0-1 and Martin Mc Ginley 0-3 were on target for the winners while Owen Canavan 0-2, James Mc Kiver 0-3, Mickey Hughes 0-2, Aaron Convery 0-1, Eoin O’Neill and Oisin Robinson 0-1 accounted for the Brocagh total.

Drumquin enjoyed a facile victory over a disappointing Urney side winning 6-18 to 0-2. Ronan Strain 2-3 top scored for the Tones while Benny Gormley 2-2, Sean Mc Donagh 1-4, and Cormac Mullin 1-00 also hit the net. Oisin Mc Menamin once again proved his worth to the team with 0-4 while Eoin Skelton, Stevie Gormley, Finnen Patterson, Niall Mc Alynn and Finucane Glackin all scored a point apiece.

Tattyreagh entertained Brackaville at home and recorded their first victory of the season with a double scores 0-10 to 0-5 win over the Roes. Gary Ferguson, Ronan Mc Hugh 0-2 and Ciaran Gervin 0-2 did the scoring on a disappointing night for Brackaville. Tattyreagh led 0-5 to 0-2 at the break and were deserving winners on the night. On an important night for the Tatts scorers were Keeley Mc Donagh 0-4, Johnny Harkin 0-2, Jarlath Mc Donagh 0-2, Peadar Mullan and Corey Armstrong 0-1 apiece.

Castlederg bounced back from last week’s defeat against Drumquin to record their first win of the season against Killeeshil. Goals are usually hugely important in deciding the outcome of these games and so it proved in this one with a brace of Cain Harper goals making the difference. The other Derg scorers on the night were all frees from Paddy Lynch (3), Daire Corry (3) and Adam Traynor (1). Killeeshil will regret not making more use of  their possession but can have few complaints. Tomas Hoy top scored once again with 0-5 while Michael O’Neill (2), Conall Monaghan (2), Ronan O’Neill and Luke Donnelly accounted for the other scores.

Aghaloo made the long run to north Tyrone to take on CNG in their league clash. Both sides enjoyed plenty of possession in the first period with an opportunistic goal from the border men the difference between the sides at the break. That goal enabled Aghaloo to lead 1-5 to 0-5 at the short whistle.  The second half was close throughout and although the game ended with only three points between the sides the CNG goal came right at the end of the match to leave the final score 1-11 to 1-8 for Aghaloo. Aghaloo scorers: Niall Mc Elroy 1-4, Tiernan Donnelly 0-4, Rory Mc Glone 0-2 and Jason Mulgrew 0-1. CNG scores came from Kevin Moran 1-0, Brendan Conway 0-3, Ciaran Kerlin 0-3 and David Conway 0-2.
