Glenelly rounded off a good weekend for the north Tyrone sides in Division Three with a very convincing win away to Killyman on a score of 4-22 to 0-2. Glenelly have been waiting for a while to get their season really up and going and this result will be just the shot in the arm they needed having been kicking their heels for a number of weeks. Enda Mc Gahan got both Killyman points while Nathan Mc Laughlin (1-9) top scored for the winners. Others to find the net for Glenelly were Lorcan Mc Cullagh (1-4), Eamon Mc Connell (1-2) and Thomas Coyle (1-0). Among the point scorers for the North Tyrone men were Seamus Harkin, Cormac Mc Bride, Cathal O’Neill, Ronan O’Kane and Conor Mc Aneney.

Tattyreagh came back from 6-2 down to claim the points away to Derrytresk with Johnny Harkin (0-5) proving his importance once again to the Tatts cause. Odhran Hughes (3) once more top scored for the Hill with Caolan Corr and Cathal O’Neill both contributing a brace of points apiece. However they were not enough to deny the visitors and the Tatts took the points on a score of 0-10 to 0-9. Others to get on the  scoreboard for the winners were Peadar Mullan, Aidy Mullan, Eoin Mc Ginn, Keelan Mc Donagh and Gareth Mimnagh.

Eskra are still unbeaten but they were pushed all the way by a battling Castlederg side as they made it five wins from five starts and joined Drumquin at the top of the table. Joe Mc Carroll rolled back the years with a vintage display hitting 0-5 while James Mc Nelis’s goal after fifty five minutes sealed the win. The teams were tied at 0-4 apiece after a hard fought first half but Eskra’s ability to plunder scores proved decisive. Among those who hit points for Eskra were Conor O’Hagan, Cathal Arkinson, Eoin Mc Caffrey, Cathal Meegan (2), Luke Kelly and Aaron Kelly. Daire and Mark Corry hit five points between them for the Derg with Adam Traynor, Tommy Mc Menamin, Matthew Mc Menamin and Dominic Mc Goldrick hit a point apiece as the game finished 1-12 to 0-9 in favour of Eskra.

Strabane got the better of neighbours Urney in a close and competitive game played at Urney. This was a tense affair with Kelvin Nelson’s 1-1 for Strabane proving decisive while the loss due to injury of Kyle Henry for Urney was a real blow to their chances. Ryan (4) and Kyle Henry (2) led the scoring for Urney with Shea Corrigan, Adrian Maxwell, Conor Lafferty and Matthew Sproule each hitting a point apiece. Oran Mc Grath bagged 0-4 for the Sigersons with Haydn Mc Namee (3) and Gavin Molloy completing the scoring as the Sigersons took the points and the bragging rites.

Clan na nGael made the long run to Brocagh and collected their first points of the season following a convincing 1-15 to 2-8 win. CNG were very much on top in a dominant 1st half and led at the break 1-8 to 0-4.
