Aghaloo hosted Donaghmore thirds on Thursday evening and after a high scoring performance recorded a 4-18 to 0-8 win.
Playing some very pacy first half football the border men led at the break 2-10 to 0-4 with goals from Jody Mc Glone and Conor Mullin rounding off the first half scoring. Aghaloo’s first half points came from Tiernan Donnelly (3), Niall Mc Elroy (5) and Rory Mc Glone (2).
Niall Mc Elroy and James O’ Hara both found the net in the second period. Mc Elroy added three further points to finish the night with 1-8. Other scores after the break came from Tiernan Donnelly (1), Paudie Mc Geary (1), Michael Muldoon and Jody Mc Glone (2) while Aghaloo held their opponents to just four points. Donaghmore hit four points in both halves with their scores coming from Joe Kelly (2), Cormac Drayne (2), Rory Mc Gee (2) and Seanan Mc Caul (2).
Final score : Aghaloo 4-18, Donaghmore 0-8
Eskra have continued their good start to the season with an eleven point win over neighbours Augher on Wednesday evening on a score line of 1-16 to 0-8 having led at the break 1-8 to 0-4.
The Emmetts continued to dominate after the break adding eight further points while restricting their opponents to only four minor scores.
Conor O’Hagan opened the scoring for the table toppers and also added his team’s goal just before the break. Joe Mc Carroll 0-6. Cathal Meegan 0-5, Micky Woods 0-2, Luke Kelly and Johnny Hackett 0-1 apiece were all on target as Eskra made it four wins from four starts.
On a disappointing night for Augher Darragh Kavanagh top scored with four points with the other scores coming from Raymond Mc Elroy (1), Eoghan Keenan (1), Decky Connolly (1) and Odhran Mc Ginn (1).
