McCallan Blow for Carrickmore
Thursday 07.05.2015
Carrickmore have been dealt a serious blow ahead of their upcoming senior championship clash with Omagh with the news that veteran goalkeeper Plunkett ‘Oz’ McCallan has sustained a broken leg. McCallan was playing rugby at the weekend when he sustained the injury. “I thought that I had just got a bit of a dead leg so I continued to play on. I only found out when I went to the hospital later that it was broken”.
Oz had been playing recently for Carrickmore in the All County League and had also been coaching a range of underage players at Acadamh Thir Eoghain. While many would have thought that this injury might end his career Big Oz is looking at things a little more positively. “Once I get this thing cleared up I hope to be back out again in a few weeks”. Teamtalk wishes him well for a full and speedy recovery.
