The McMahon brothers, Joe and Justin, have been called up as All-Star replacements for the forthcoming trip to Kuala Lumpar at the end of this month. The Omagh St Enda’s pair have both enjoyed good campaigns for Tyrone in 2010, and were two of the standout performers as the Red Hands claimed a third Ulster senior football title in four seasons back in July.

The 2010 season officially ended for Joe and Justin last weekend when Omagh’s defeat to Errigal Ciaran signalled the club’s exit from the 2010 All-County League title race, leaving the way clear for the brothers to commit to the All-Stars tour which begins in a fortnight’s time.

Both players were on the last football tour when Tyrone were All-Ireland champions in 2008, Justin having claimed the full back position on the 2008 All-Star selection before being joined by his older brother on the GPA All-Star team a few weeks later.

The last All-Star football trip two years ago had a big Tyrone contingent on board but it is thought that the county’s sole All-Star this year, Philip Jordan, may be unable to travel with the All-Star party later this month, which would leave the McMahons as Tyrone’s only representatives this time round.

On his return from the forthcoming trip to Kuala Lumpar, Joe, who is currently employed as  a Primary School GAA Coach, will be completing preparations for his wedding which will take place just a few days after Christmas. It is expected that he will be unavailable to line out for Tyrone until February at the earliest due to his honeymoon.

Congratulations to Joe and Justin on their call-ups from everyone @ Teamtalk.
