The Tyrone minor camogie side made short work of their Donegal opponents in the Grade Three All Ireland Shield Final played at Tir na nOg Randalstown on Sunday afternoon.

The young Red Hands were quickly into their stride with Olibhia Farley, Aine Cunningham and Emma Conroy putting them on the front foot from the off. Donegal goalkeeper Abigail Mc Menamin and fullback Alannah Curran were kept busy by the pacy Tyrone inside forward line with Rhianne Mc Loughlin, Catherine Moohan and Emer Cunningham looking menacing in every attack.

Tyrone created many scoring chances during a dominant first half as Aine  Cunningham, Olibhia Farley and Emma Holmes kept the pressure on an overworked Donegal rearguard.

After a testing first period the Tir Conaill girls needed a big second half and the efforts of Dearbhla Porter, Grace Mc Gonigle and Sarah Lambe did create several good scoring chances. However a well organised and tight marking Tyrone rearguard kept the scoring threat to a minimum.

Among the scorers for Tyrone were Olibhia Farley, Catherine Moohan, Aine Cunningham, Emer Cunningham and Kate Daly. Unsurprisingly Aine Cunningham was selected as the player of the match after a superb display of scoring and creativity.

DONEGAL SCORERS: Kate Sarsfield, Sarah Lambe and Dearbhla Porter
