Holders Ardboe are into the grade one minor championship semi finals after overcoming Kildress 0-15 to 1-8 at Gortacladdy. The Wolfe Tones led early on thanks to points from Francis Og Quinn and Colm Loughran. The Rossas then got on top and in the end they ran out comfortable winners, Kildress’s goal coming with virtually the last kick of the game. Michael Lynn [2], Barry Devlin [2], David Mulgrew [4], Michael O’Neill [3], Caolan Mallaghan [1], Oisin Devlin [1], Aidan O’Neill [1] and Mattie Laverty [1] were the scorers for the winners on a night when Paddy Sheehy, Kevin Coney, Oisin Devlin, David Mulgrew, Michael O’Neill, Michael Lynn, Danny Brady and Ryan Sheehy played well for them. Colm Loughran was outstanding for Kildress hitting all but one of their entire tally.

Ardboe’s opponents in the last four will be Coalisland who accounted for neighbours Edendork on a 2-14 to 0-11 score line. Gerard Quinn [1-2], Sean Corr [1-1], Tiernan Teague [3], Cathaoir Quinn [2], Darragh McCann [2], Cormac O’Hagan [1], Gerard Woods [2] and Kyle Proctor [1] were the Fianna scorers on a night when Conall Lyons was outstanding at full back with Tiernan Teague, Sean Corr, Cormac O’Hagan, Kyle Proctor and Caomihin Morgan all playing well too. Fintona travelled to the Loughshore and came away with a superb 2-16 to 3-11 victory in a cracking encounter. Jack McGuigan hit 2-2 for the hosts with Tiernan Corr, Justin Conlon, James Devlin, Shane McKeown all playing well for the St.Malachys, Tommy McGrath among the scorers for the Pearses.

Aghaloo won a cracking encounter against Dungannon that required extra time to decide. Ruairi McGlone, Jody McGlone, Conor Mullen, Tiarnan Donnelly and Oisin Gildernew all played well for the winners as it finished 3-18 to 6-6.
