The fourth round of the minor leagues in all three grades took place on Tuesday night and once again there were some eye catching results. Errigal Ciaran played host to Omagh at Dunmoyle and they ended the St.Endas unbeaten record thanks to a 4-20 to 3-12 victory. Star of the show for the winners was County minor Pauric McAnenly who hit a hugely impressive 2-12 with Packie O’Neill [1-2], Jody Farrell [1-0], Eoin Kelly [0-2], Ben McDonald [0-1], Daniel Blake [1], C Quinn [1] and Niall Kelly [1] their other scorers on a night when they had good displays from McDonald, Plunkett Donnelly, Simon Conroy, the Kellys and of course McAnenly.

 

Edendork had a good 1-14 to 1-10 win over Moy. Malachy Conlon got the St.Malachys goal, Paul Donaghy and Conn Kilpatrick registered 0-4 each with Emmett Hughes [2], Lorcan Devlin [1], Odhran Donnelly [1], Padraig Mallon [1] and Ciaran Hughes [1] their other scorers on a night when Lorcan Conlon, Eoghan Conlan and Conor Hughes all played well in defence for them. Michael Morgan was the Moy goal scorer with Francie Kelly [5], Ryan Coleman [3], Jack Campbell [1] and Declan Conroy [1] supplying their points.

 

The game of the night saw County champions Ardboe beat defending league winners Stewartstown on a 1-12 to 0-12 score line. David Mulgrew landed eight points for the Rossas, Michael O’Neill got 1-2, the goal coming from a ninth minute penalty, and Callum McGuigan and Odhran Devlin got a point each. Darren Devlin [5], Shay Burke [3], Callan Burke [1], Macaulay Quinn [2] and Tiernan Rush were the point scorers for the Harps. Best for Stewartstown were Jason Park, Steven Talbot, Macaulay Quinn, Shay Burke and Tiernan Rush while Ardboe were best served by David Mulgrew, Kevin Coney, Michael O’Neill and Caolan Mallaghan.

 

Newtownstewart had an emphatic 3-15 to 1-3 win away to neighbours Strabane with Daryl McGuigan [1-3], Lorcan Curran [1-2], Eoin Bradley [1-2], Aidan McSorley [3], Stephen Holland [2], Oisin Duffy [1], Gary Duffy [1] and Conor Traynor [1] their scorers with Lorcan Curran, Eoin Bradley, Pearce McSorley and Barney Comber all playing well for them. Galbally picked up their third win of the campaign thanks to a resounding win at home to Greencastle. Enda McGarrity and Colm McAleer both scored two goal with Conor Kelly also finding the net on a night when they had points from Liam Rafferty, Daniel Kerr, Mark Quinn, Ciaran Corrigan, Patrick Quinn, Kelly and McGarrity. Gavin Slane had four points for the visitors with Mel McCullagh hitting 1-2.

 

The big local derby between Coalisland and Clonoe ended in a stalemate. Shane Donnelly and Fintan McClure both played well for the O’Rahillys. Sean Corr scored 2-1 for the Fianna with Ryan Magee and Dan Talbot both finding the net as well as it finished 4-1 to 0-13. Aghaloo beat Donaghmore 3-11 to 2-11 with Conor Hasson [7], Brannon Molloy [1], Tiernan Drayne [3], Aidan Quinn [1-0] and Caolan Mulgrew [1-0] the St.Patricks’ marksmen. Dromore had the minimum to spare over Gael Naomh Padraig in a high scoring thriller that ended 3-13 to 3-12. Andrew McGrath, Caolan Rafferty and a last minute strike from Peter Teague were the St.Dympnas goal scorers on a night when Tiernan McDermott and Ryan McCusker both played very well for them. Marc McConnell was superb for Gael Naomh Padraig finishing with 2-8 to his name with M McGinn [1-1], Caolan Trainor [2] and M McCaughey their other scorers.

 

Owen Roes also had the minimum to spare when they entertained Trillick. Ryan McAleer bagged two second half goals for the winners with Ben McCrossan, Marty O’Neill and Conal McCormack featuring among the points. Tattyreagh got the better of neighbours Fintona on a 4-9 to 3-7 score line. Joe Cartin [2-0], James Darcy [1-2], John McAleer [1-0], Eoghan Murray [2], Niall Murray [2], Johnny Harkin [2] and Brian Callaghan were the scorers for the winners with Cartin, Harkin, Eoghan Murray and Niall Murray all playing well for them. J Daisley [1-1], Maurice McCloughan [1-0], Marius Monaghan [1-1], Sonny McDonagh [2], Mark McGlinn [2] and C Donnelly [1] were the Pearses scorers on the night.

 

Moortown’s good form continued when they were comfortable 3-11 to 2-2 winners over Pomeroy. Best for the St.Malachys were Tiernan Corr, Rian McLernon and Daire Quinn in defence, Callum Gallagher and Chris McGuigan in midfield and Jamie McCullagh and Shaun Conway up front. Eoin Kelly, Shaun Conway and Darragh McVey got the Moortown goals. Conor McKenna and Mark Donnelly inspired Eglish to a 2-19 to 1-10 win at Kildress. Enda McAleer weighed in with half a dozen points for the Wolfe Tones, Darren O’Kane scored 1-2 with Stephen Loughran [2] and Matty McGuigan also on target while Derrylaughan were emphatic winners at home to Rock. Paul Donnelly [2-3], Tomas Carney [1-5], James Donnelly [6], Conor Donnelly [1-1], Caolan Hughes [1-0], Aidan Gervin [1], Niall McCann [1], Caolan Corr [1], Brian Kennedy [1] and Colm Rooney [1] were the Kevin Barrys scorers. Padraig Ward and Adrian Barrow were the Rock scorers with Conor Barrow, Shea Litter and Dylan Reid their best players on the night.

 

Beragh beat Clann na Gael  5-12 to 3-10 with Ryan Donnelly scoring 3-1, Johnny Woods getting 0-3 and Nathan Grimes and Jack Campbell hitting nine points between them.  Joe Kerlin [2-1] and Kealan Conway [1-3] were among the Clann na Gael scorers with Tony Devine, Shane Canning, Conor Harkin, Ronan Devine and Dan Houston all playing well for them. Carrickmore experienced little difficulty in seeing off the challenge of neighbours Cappagh on a night when Conan McElduff, Ciaran Daly, Conor Loughran, Aidan Fullerton and Matthew McGurk all found the net for them.
