Round eight of the club minor leagues took place on Wednesday night with action in all three grades. Newtownstewart travelled to play Gael Naomh Padraig and the St.Eugenes came away with a 2-8 to 2-5 win after the sides were level at halftime. Naomhan McNamee scored both goals for the winners with Tiarnan McNamee [3], Ciaran McSorley, David Patton, Patrick Hargan, Daryl McGuigan and Gary Duffy their point scorers on a day when they had good displays from Jake McHugh, Brandon O’Goan, Naomhan McNamee and Tiernan McNamee.

 

Moy made sure of their place in the quarter finals thanks to a hard earned win over Kildress. Eoin Hughes, Rory Magee and Declan Conroy got their goals with Ryan Coleman, Conroy, Hughes and Chris O’Neill supplying points. The winners had good performances from Francie Kelly, Patrick Lavery, Turlough Kelly and Gavin Kelly as it finished 3-9 to 3-7. Derrylaughan were in high scoring form as they accounted for Brackaville  2-19 to 0-9 with Tomas Carney [5], James Donnelly [5], Darragh Coney [1-2], Paul Donnelly [1-1], Brian Kennedy [3], Conor Donnelly [2], Shane Crew and Roan Rafferty on target for the Kevin Barrys.

 

Donaghmore came from seven points down at halftime to pip Edendork 4-6 to 1-14 with Caolan Mulgrew [2-3], Tiernan Drayne [1-1], Sean McCaul [1-0] and Conor Hasson [2] their scorers. Galbally also had the minimum to spare on their trip to Errigal Ciaran as it finished 4-6 to 3-8. Enda McGarrity and Colm McAleer got two goals each for the Pearses with Ronan Nugent and Colin Campbell grabbing a couple of points each. Pauric McAnenly scored half of the home side’s points with Eoin Kelly getting a couple and Packie O’Neill, Padraig McGirr and Ben McDonald their goal scorers.

 

Tommy McMenamin scored a hat trick of goals, Paddy Porter got 1-4, Brandon Lynch and Darren Traynor got goals each and Conal Keyes and Padraig Keys finished among the points but Castlederg were still beaten by Beragh. Dungannon edged out neighbours Eglish 1-13 to 2-7 with the help of great performances from Dailigh Jones, Niall Muldoon, Conor Loughran and the Molloy brothers. Moortown had a good 4-14 to 2-11 win over Clonoe with Callum Gallagher, Dara McVey and Shane McKeown [2] getting their goals with Conan McLernon weighing in with seven points. Tiernan Corr and Ryan McLernon played well in defence for the St.Malachys as did the midfield pairing of James Devlin and Jack McGuigan. The O’Rahillys were one up at halftime but they completely collapsed after the break. Connor McLaughlin top scored for them with 1-4 with Paul O’Neill 1-1, Fintan McClure 0-2 and Ryan Morrow on the scoresheet as well with Rhys Quinn, Michael O’Neill, Paul O’Neill and Connor McLaughlin playing well for them.

 

Cookstown got the better of Aghaloo with the help of goals from Paul Campbell, Dean Teague, Aidey Doyle and Miguel Hetherington on a night when Ben Hampsey, Conor O’Neill, Teague and Doyle all played well for the Father Rocks. Dromore edged past Aghyaran in a thriller, 2-10 to 1-14 the final score line. Cahir Goodwin got the St.Dympnas goal with Declan McNulty, Peter Teague and Odhran Rafferty among their points with Paudie Quinn, Joe McCusker and Andy McGrath all playing well too. Brian Penrose [5], Cahir Moss [1-1], Benny Gallen [3], Tiarnan McSorley [1] and Emmett McGuire [1-0] were the St.Davogs marksmen.

 

Ardboe enjoyed a very easy win over Pomeroy in a game where the Rossas showed the full range of their scoring threat. Michael O’Neill top scored with 1-2 while David Mulgrew (0-3), Nathan Bell (0-3), Gary Hagan (0-1), Conal Devlin (0-1), Mattie O’Neill (0-2), Kevin Coney (0-1), Aidan O’Neill (0-1), Paddy Sheehy (0-1), Shea Quinn (0-1) all landed points while Odhran Devlin, Caolan Mallaghan and Tiarnach Teague found the net for the winners.

 

 

 

Tattyreagh recorded a comprehensive victory over Rock to stay top of their group. Padraig Ward 1-1, Sean Moran 1-0 and Adrian Barrow were the scorers for the St.Patricks on the night.
