The latest round of club minor league fixtures took place on Tuesday night and as usual there were some interesting results. Dungannon remain unbeaten in section 1A after securing a fine point in a high scoring encounter with Coalisland at Father Campbell Park. Patrick Molloy bagged two goals with Conor McKee, Ciaran Barker and Pearse Loughran all to the fore for the Clarkes as well. Gerard Woods top scored for the Fianna with 1-4 to his name, Ryan Magee notched 1-2, Eoghan Rankin and Tiarnan Quinn both found the net with Peter Herron and Cormac O’Hagan contributing points as it finished 4-9 to 2-15. In the same section Donaghmore moved up to joint second place thanks to a comprehensive win at home to Derrylaughan. Sean McCaul hit 2-4 for the winners, Caolan Mulgrew notched 0-8, with Brannon Molloy [1-3], Tiarnan Drayne [1-2], Dylan McKay [1-2] and S McKernan [1-1] their other marksmen on the night. Tomas Carney top scored for the Kevin Barrys with ten points to his name, Paul Donnelly and Momad Do Santos got their goals with Jack McNeil also on target.

 

In section 1B Galbally made it three wins out of three when they overcame Newtownstewart at Pearse Park. Patrick Quinn and Mark Donnelly both scored two goals for the winners with Colin Campbell, Mark Quinn, Conor Donnelly, Colm McAleer and Caoimhin Quinn featuring among their points. Michael Coreless converted a penalty for the visitors with Tori Nicholas, David Patton and Coreless supplying points. In the same section neighbours Omagh and Cappagh played out a 0-8 to 1-5 draw for a result that moves both sides onto three league points.

 

In section 2A Kildress made it three wins in five outings when they recovered from being four points down at halftime to beat Gael Naomh Padraig at Gortacladdy. Full forward Matthew McGuigan was outstanding for the Wolfe Tones finishing with 2-8 to his name with Darragh Loughran [1-4], Conor Quinn [1-0], Shane McNally, Faolan Girvan, Corey Holland and Caolan Mullan all grabbing points. Cookstown edged a thriller away to Edendork, 3-12 to 4-8 the final score line. There were good performances for the Father Rocks from Ciaran McCracken, Dean Teague, Ronan Donnelly, Michael Doyle and keeper Aaron Ridewood who saved a penalty. Teague [2-4], McCracken [1-2], Dylan Coyle [3], Tiernan Canavan [3] and Caolan Mullan were the scorers for Cookstown. This was a first defeat of the campaign for the St.Malachys and it means that four sides are locked together on half a dozen points at the top of the table. Conn Kilpatrick scored 2-3 for Edendork with Patrick Maxwell bagging a brace of goals on a night when Jamie Donnelly, Conor Hughes, Barry Dillon and Eoghain and Ruairi Conlon played well for them as well. In the same section Killeeshil beat Eglish 2-14 to 2-10 and Moy won 5-8 to 3-7 away to Pomeroy. Philip Mallon scored a hat trick of goals for the visitors with Rory Magee and Diarmuid McKeown also finding the net with Ryan Coleman, Patrick Mackle, Luke Dynes and Gavin Kelly playing well too.

 

In section 2B Owen Roes ended the unbeaten record of Tattyreagh thanks to a 2-11 to 0-13 success on home soil. Eoghain Devine and Ryan McAleer got the winners goals with Ruairi Boylan, Michael Dooher, McAleer, Cathal Kelly, Oisin Dooher, Ryan Devine [5] and Niall McAleer all supplying points. Best on the night for the winners were Barry McDaid, Timothy O’Doherty and Ruairi Boylan. Eoghain Harkin top scored for a Tattyreagh side who still lead this section despite defeat. Strabane moved up to joint second place after a 2-15 to 3-6 win at home to Fintona. Maurice McCloughan [1-1], J McCann, J Murphy [1-1] and R Partington [3] all played well for the Pearses with C Ledley weighing in with 1-1 as well. In the other game in this group Both Domhnaigh beat Beragh in a high scoring clash at Glenelly, 6-10 to 3-16 the final scoreline there.

 

In section 3A Aghaloo made it four wins out of four when they beat Derrytresk 2-12 to 2-7 at home. Padraig Ward [1-4], Caolan Devlin [1-0] and Liam Nugent [2] were the Rock scorers as they lost 2-12 to 2-6 at home to Greencastle on a night when they were best served by the Wards Conor and Mark. Brackaville moved up to joint second place in the table following an impressive display away to Brocagh. Shea Fee top scored for the Roes with 3-4 to his name although Sean Day wasn’t far behind him with 3-2. Conor Stock [1-1], Jamie Devlin [2], Chris O’Donnell and Tiernan Ruddy all got their names on the scoresheet as well.

 

Drumragh moved joint top of section 3B thanks to a resounding win away to Clann na Gael. Tommy Mullin top scored for the Sarsfields, Rory McBride converted a penalty, Eamon and Eoghain Rae featured prominently while Dean Carroll was very strong in defence for the winners. That made it four wins out of four and they lead the way alongside Trillick who have a similar record. Castlederg are next in the table after picking up their third win of the campaign at the expense of Drumquin while Cappagh “B” secured local bragging rites when beating Omagh “B” at home.
