Omagh’s Development Squad fifteen put up a good showing in their defeat against Rock. In a high scoring and highly entertaining game Rock triumphed on a scoreline of 2-14 to 2-07. Omagh’s scorers on the night were Michael O’Doherty 0-6, Michael Keaveney and Oisin Kerlin 1-0 apiece and Kyle Mallon 0-1. Omagh were well served on the night by Caolan Mc Namee in goals, Brendan and John Mc Dermott, Eoin and Dominic Mc Grath, Peter Crossley, Niall Mc Laughlin, Niall Quinn, Shane Tierney and David Moore.

Omagh returned to winning ways when they proved too strong for Loughmacrory on a 1-19 to 0-8 score line. Jude Campbell got the only goal of the game and along with Cormac O’Neill and Costa Mallon they were part of a superb half forward line. Michael Flanagan had a good game in midfield contributing a couple of points while left half back Paul McBride played very well on the night for the winners. Aghaloo defeated neighbours Killeeshil 1-17 to 2-10 while Eglish had good performances from Kevin Muldoon and Colm Byrne as they beat Moortown 1-8 to 0-8.

Coalisland defeated Dungannon 3-9 to 2-9 with Gerard Quinn scoring 2-1, Paudie Hampsey 1-1 and Cathair Quinn five points with Caolan Devlin also playing well for the winners. Ronan Kirk kicked half a dozen points with Barry McConnell, Eamon McConnell and Gavin McBride getting one each for Glenelly but they lost out to Drumragh on a 1-16 to 0-9 score line on a night when they had good displays from Eamon McConnell, McBride and Shane Conway. Stewartstown accounted for Derrylaughan 1-18 to 2-9 with Sean Rushe scoring 1-3, Dan Lowe six points, Cathal Devlin three points with Shea Devlin also playing well. Stephen McGrath hit 1-2 for the Kevin Barrys, Mattie O’Neill got four points with Sean Caio Corr and Gabriel Coary both playing well for them.

Trillick picked up their first points of the campaign when they beat Strabane 1-11 to 1-9 at Sigerson Park. Neil Gray got the St.Macartans goal with Daire Gallagher, Lee Brennan, Peter Gallagher and Stephen O’Donnell sharing the points between them. Donaghmore beat Ardboe 2-12 to 0-13 with Barry Devlin top scoring for the Rossas with an impressive nine points to his name, David Mulgrew got two and Michael and Aidan O’Neill got one each on a night when they had good performances from Peter O’Neill, Oisin Devlin, Nathan Bell, Michael O’Neill, Eoin Quinn, David Mulgrew and Barry Devlin. Fintona beat Greencastle 5-10 to 2-13 with Tom McGrath [1-5], Owen Mallon [2-0], Ben Peace [1-1] and Ryan Donnelly [1-0] among the Pearses’ marksmen.

Errigal Ciaran beat Cappagh 2-12 to 1-7 with Mark Kavanagh 1-4, Niall Quinn 1-0, Sean McKenna 0-2, Paudge McAnenly 0-2, Paddy O’Neill 0-3 and Fergal Kelly 0-1 their scorers with Ben McDonald, Padraig McGirr and Ciaran McCann all playing well. Moy edged out Gael Naomh Padraig 3-11 to 3-8 with Declan Conroy and Michael Cartmill hitting 1-1 each, Jack McDonald claiming four points, Chris O’Neill grabbing a goal with Niall and Mark McConville contributing five points between them on a night when they had fine displays from Daniel Beaddie, Sean Hanna, Declan Conroy and Joe McMahon.
