Minor Title For Omagh
Wednesday 16.07.2025
Three goals in the opening minutes of the second half at Garvaghey proved pivotal for Omagh as they claimed the grade 4 minor league title with a 3-10 to 1-8 win over Fintona.
St Enda’s had led by three points at the break but goals from Daithi Mc Ginn, Pearce Clarke and Junior Fullen took them clear. Despite several excellent Pearse’s points from Ryan Myers, Sean Donnelly and a cracking goal from Ryan Fee they couldn’t reel Omagh in again.

A remarkably low scoring first half had Omagh ahead by three at the break. Callum Cunningham and Donnelly exchanged early points as both sides failed to judge the breeze with several wides and balls that dropped short. Conor Keyes and Mc Ginn landed Omagh points as Clarke hit a fine two pointer. Myers and Donnelly points left it a three point game.
Eoin Cunningham teed up Fullen for a goal within a minute of the restart, Keyes went close with his deft touch putting Mc Ginn in for a second before Clarke finished well to the net on 33 minutes to put St Enda’s twelve points clear.
Myers tagged on a two pointer, Mc Menamin, Myers and Sean Mc Carney had Fintona on the comeback trail but Omagh kept the scoreboard ticking over.
Clarke, outstanding all evening, pointed. Jacob Hassett hit a brace and Omagh went close for a fourth goal but for Dylan Mc Girr’s fine save. Mc Carney flashed a shot over the bar and a well crafted Fee goal with eight minutes left cut the gap to seven.

The Pearse’s battled hard but could not break down an excellent Omagh defence. Oisin Mc Menamin, Cahir O’Neill, full back Mark Murphy and Sean Kearney tenacious as they saw out the tie. Cunningham, Fullen and man of the match Clarke impressive too for the winners.
Fintona had their moments, Myers, Sean Donnelly and Shane Donnelly were constant throughout, young Fee and Dara Mc Menamin battlers but it was Omagh’s night.
Referee on the night was Seamus Gallagher.
