Tyrone minors made the long trip to Ahoghill in County Antrim this evening to get their Ulster Minor League campaign off to a winning start with a convincing 3-9 to 1-02 victory. Tyrone played wind assisted in the first half and had opened up a 2-5 to no score lead at the break. However although it was a good win manager Mickey Donnelly will be a little concerned with the number of wides kicked by his side. Cappagh player Mark Bradley top scored for Tyrone with 2-3 and was joined on the scoring charts by Sean Hackett 1-1 with Conor Mallon, Peter Mc Kenna, Cathal Devlin, Ruairi Mc Glone and Colm O’Neill each hitting a point for the winners. Others to play well for Tyrone were Ruairi Sludden and Caolan Corr. Next up for Tyrone is a match with old rivals Derry which is scheduled for Saturday afternoon with the venue still to be confirmed.
