Minors Open With A Win

Tyrone minors got their Ulster league campaign off to a winning start when they overcame Antrim 1-9 to 1-4 at Loughmacrory on Saturday afternoon. The Red Hands led 0-6 to 0-3 at the break with points coming from PT Cunningham and Odhran Rafferty, John McCaffrey and Eoin Nagle on target for the visitors. Ruairi Gormley edged the hosts further in front on the restart but there was then a long spell when there was no further scoring. Cunningham bagged a late goal for Tyrone but Antrim replied straight away with a major of their own from Jack Lenehan. Tyrone though closed the game out with further points from Cunningham and Rafferty.
