Omagh CBS Rannafast Cup team enjoyed a comfortable 6-13 to 2-2 victory over St Michael’s Grammar School in Trillick on Thursday afternoon. The result was never in doubt as the Tyrone school eased to a comfortable win.
The school’s Corn na nOg team lost out to Abbey CBS on a 2-10 to 1-7 scoreline while in front of a large crowd in Healy Park the Mac Rory Cup side lost to St Pat’s Armagh 4-12 to 2-12. What was most disappointing about that defeat was that the Brothers had looked well placed to take the two points having reached the break 2-8 to 0-6 ahead.
Armagh took the game by the scruff of the neck after the break and goals from Brendan Ferreira and Cathaoir Hughes helped them to a surprise but deserved win,
