Mna na Deirge celebrated collecting the league and championship double tonight after a thrilling extra time victory over a very good Fr Rocks side in Beragh. With so little between the sides it was no surprise that the game went to extra time before Mna na Deirge emerged winners on a 5-11 to 5-06 score line.
The first half saw lots of good quality football and contrasting styles of play as the Cookstown girls opted for a direct style of play while their opponents used a short passing, running support game in an attempt to create chances. Halftime score Mna na Deirge 1.02 Fr Rocks 0.04

Anna Kelly and Sarah mc Neill were outstanding for Fr Rocks in mid field and full forward respectively while their over worked defence produced heroics at times.

For Mna na Deirge Roisin Devlin and Chloe White in midfield were superb throughout while Ciara Porter was a power house at full back. Anna Harper showed well in the full forward line for the winners.
