Mna na Deirge were victorious over Moy this morning in their minor championship final clash with county star and team captain Laura Mc Sorley outstanding for the winners. She not only lifted the trophy for her team but top scored with 3-08 out of her team’s 3-10 total. The other two points came courtesy of Caoimhe Brogan. The Derg girls trailed at the break by two points as Moy produced some fine football to lead 1-6 to 1-4 by half time. Moy’s scorers on the day were Eimear McCormick 0.05, Maeve Mc Gleenan 1.02
Sarah Loughran 0.01 and Sophie Lavery 0.02. This was a quality game closely fought between two very good sides that deserve great credit not just for their style of play but the manner in which the game was played.
